The cheapest sushi and sake I've seen in Cape Town lately, but the rice was so mushy and overcooked that my partner and I kept 'offering' each other the last few pieces on an 18-piece platter until we admitted that we hated it and didn't want any more. Friendly service and the atmosphere is what you'd expect from a budget Chinese restaurant in Obs, but not sure I'd go there again.

High quality and affordable food. Sushi and Ramen is really good . Do try the dim sum platter as well. The restaurant itself is not fancy at all. One could call it rustic, but it fits right in with Obs vibe :). So perhaps not the best place for a first date and wanting to impress. Definitely a second date candidate. Mr Lin has been assed to our go to places for sushi and ramen in Cape Town.

A real hidden Gem. Every single item we ordered was phenomenal. Please do yourself a favour and ignore the ignorant bad reviews. The Sushi E platter - some of the best salmon crunch rolls around. The Ramen was phenomenal. Mr Lin’s wanton platter was 10/10 And the chicken fried rice was the best I’ve had from a restaurant so far. I had high expectations going in after seeing all the social media videos and I wasn’t disappointed in the least! We went at 4pm on a Sunday so it was quiet and still the food was top tier. You can see why they have been in business for 16 years. Don’t expect a fancy fine dining experience but you can expect a show and some unbelievable food at an unbelievable price. We can’t wait to come back!
